Elon Musk declines becoming a board member at Twitter

Elon Musk the largest owner of Twitter Inc has declined to join the board member at twitter, which decides twitter’s policies.

Musk has opened out about his membership and joked around and has openly spoken and took polls on twitter about certain new features.

Elon Musk

Musk joked around with the board members of twitter, and showed disagreement with censorship, but the CEO is not set to directly go and vote on matters of the company’s polices.

Opinion: After all Musk is the CEO of SpaceX, Neulink, Tesla Inc, and the Boring Company. Adding himself to a board of members would cost him valuable time. Musk most likely bought the shares at twitter to only share his message rather than swing his share votes at the company itself in board meetings.

“Elon Musk decided not to join the Twitter Board. We were excited by the opportunity to collaborate and clear about the risks. We believed the best path forward was having Elon as a fiduciary of Twitter where he, like all board members, must act in the best interests of our company and our shareholders. The board offered him a seat (contingent on a background check and formal acceptance). The effective date was 4/9, but the same day Elon shared that he will no longer be joining. I believe this is for the best. We will always value input from shareholders and remain open to his. Our goals and priorities are unchanged. Let’s tune out the noise and stay focused on what we’re building.” ~ Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal
