Addis Ababa, Meskel Square – Ethiopia celebrates meskel a holiday that is of the finding of the cross. Meskel is celebrated since the 4th centaury when the Empress the mother of Emperor Constantine the Great of Rome discovered the cross on a hill on the same place where the pagan gods were located for pagan worship to make the Christian presence be forgotten for ever more. But later a couple decades afterwards the pagan temple was brought down and a cross was found underneath the temple and a great church was built in Jerusalem for Christian worships.
