Coca-Cola is usually associated with begin unhealthy which is true, it can lead to many diseases but putting aside from this scientifical fact a new study has emerged from mice which suggests that men who drink the drink generally tend to have larger testicles than other men who don’t. But nonetheless this study contradicts previous studies which said sugary drinks tend to decrease the testosterone levels of men and decrease their fertility rate.
The term “responsible drinking” refers to drinking responsibly. A control group was given tap water and allowed to drink as much as they wanted. After 15 days, the soda-drinking mice had larger testicles and higher testosterone levels. Drinking just one soda per day increases men’s chances of going bald by up to 60%.

Experts from China’s Northwest Minzu University set out to prove that sugary sodas were harmful to male fertility. They cited previous research indicating that carbonated beverages were harmful to female ovaries. A group of 30 male mice were kept in a cage, and their water bottle was filled with a mixture of 50% Pepsi and 50% tap water.
Another 30 mice were kept in a separate cage and fed only Pepsi. The same was done with two groups of mice, but this time Coca-Cola was used. A fifth group served as a control and was given only water.
After 15 days, testosterone levels in the control group were about 23 nanomoles (nmol) per liter, while those who drank straight Coca-Cola and Pepsi had levels of about 30 nmol/L.
Mice fed straight Coca-Cola had higher levels of male hormones than the control group.
The results suggest that large doses of Pepsi and Coca-Cola can improve testosterone production in male mice.

However, the mice used in this study are non-mating, i.e. they do not mate.
The long-term effects of carbonated drinks on testicular mass and testosterone production are also unknown.
These findings are published by Acta Endocrinol a journal.
